Minecraft won't load any levels?

Whenever I try to load up a level on Minecraft (singleplayer and multiplayer) it crashes during load up. Specifically it crashes at "Simulating world for a bit". I thought the problem was due to me downloading MCEdit, but i just deleted it and the problem continues. Please help because now I can't play Minecraft.
